St. Vincent dePaul Society

St. Vincent dePaul Society (SVDP): Several men and women discreetly and quietly minister to the needy within their parish boundaries in Weymouth and Braintree as members of our St. Vincent de Paul Society Conferences.  Each SVDP conference provides food, clothing, home furnishings, and help with bills to individuals and families when assistance from other agencies is inadequate or unavailable.  Founded in Paris in 1833, this worldwide organization operates on a person-to-person level through members of its local conferences, who rely on the generosity of their fellow parishioners for encouragement, prayers, and donations to carry out their work.
